THE BEST OF THE BIG BANDS is a musical history, celebrating the great bandleaders, arrangers and performers of the 20th century and beyond.
The show charts the development of big band music from its beginnings in the 20s & 30s to the current day, through landmark performances and arrangements.
Littered with memorable songs from the likes of Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Dean Martin, Peggy Lee, Harry Connick Jr, Shirley Bassey and Michael Buble, our two superb vocalists will have you tapping your feet and singing along in no time.
There’s plenty of powerhouse ensemble playing from our amazing 17-piece line up too, along with many features and solos from the top musicians that make up the band. The majesty of the trumpets, the smoothness of the trombones, the sultry saxophones and the driving rhythm section all combine to bring you an experience you will not easily forget.
