…but he’s not due for another few weeks so, to help you get into the festive spirit, why not join the La’al Big Band in Gosforth village hall on Monday, December 9, from 7.30pm, for an evening of festive favourites and swinging standards. Entry costs just £5 and includes light refreshments during the interval.

Dig out your dancing shoes and shuffle down to the Seacote Hotel in St Bees this Saturday, November 9, for the La’al Big Band’s Strictly Ballroom night. This will be an evening of ballroom favourites – quicksteps, foxtrots, waltzes and more! As usual, the band will strike up at 8pm.
